You have received an appointment letter from them though you never interviewed for nor sought the appointment.

Do you have to pay the "company" to expedite processing cost of your appointment / contract? If so, do not throw your money out the window. A legitimate employer pays you and accepts the expenses of your employment. You don't pay the employer.

Did you have an employment interview? Or you were, perhaps, offered a job without anybody from your so called "employer" even talking to you?
