  1. well actually if you didn't know, blood B is quite common nowadays its blood group O tts facing a shortage.

oh and another thing blood group AB can only receive AB blood because of the antigens in the AB blood person body.

I'm currently a biomedical science student so all that i've told you is based on lecture notes and research

  2. Types O and A are the most common. Each represents between about 30-50% of the population in most countries. Type B represents about 6-12% except in some east asian countries where it can be as high as 30%. Type AB is the rarest pretty much everywhere.

In the United States, the breakdown is:

    Type O = 44% (37.4%+, 6.6%-)

    Type A = 42% (35.7%+, 6.3%-)

    Type B = 10% (8.5%+, 1.5%-)

    Type AB = 4% (3.4%+, 0.6%-)

  3. they are all probably around the same

however, being a B type means that if you need a blood transfusion, you can be given B type of O type.

however, AB type people can be given all four different blood types, but O types can only recieve O type blood, even though they can give to anyone
