  1. He was a war criminal who committed massacres and killed indiscriminately, assassinated rival Christian leaders who refused to submit to him and join him in the Civil War. He has as much blood in his hands as Samir Geagea, Walid Jumblatt and the Syrians, maybe even more. Some Maronites hail him as a national savior, because they believe that killing Muslim women and children was crucial and necessary for their survival, that as well as the Israeli invasion.

  2. Webby that is without a doubt the smartest thing i have ever heard you say yet and (gasp) i cant believe im saying this but i errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr agree with you. Ok you satisfied ? lol

  3. i have mixed feelings about him - just like Webster said ..

my dad likes him though ..

  4. yah i heard about that on the family channel it was after hannah montanna

  5. Bachir Gemayel was killed 25 years ago, in the middle of our civil war and at a time where we were all craving for someone to say: " No, we don't want division, let's unite"

In that sense yes, we can hail him as a hero.

But he also led the Christian side of the civil war and to do that effectively had to step on the toes of many then potential competitors and also at some point ally with the Israelis.

We look at them as mistakes and dark moments, but who knows? had he not done that maybe there would be no Lebanese Christians now.

  6. He's just a national A hole to me. A racist disgusting blood-thristy human being, who created the most criminal political party in Lebanese history. Luckily, he's dead. 3a2bel Geagea.

  7. I think Bashir Jemayel was the best thing that ever happened to Lebanon
