Sounds like a hoax to me...they probably want personal info...or even may ask for a SSN. There are a lot of scams out there with fake bank e-mails and supposed job offers. Do not click on any link or fill out any personal info.

Does that sound like correspondence you would receive from Bank of America? No way.

If you visited the Bank of America website, and found the offer there, it is legitimate.  If you found the offer ANYWHERE else, it is a SCAM.

EVERYTHING in your positing SCREAMS scam to me.
