i just wonder roma is willing to pay him EUR4.5 mil. per year (instead of cap EUR2.5 per year)

while Aquilani has been asking for EUR2.5 mil only and Roma just reply with EUR1.6 mil?????

c'mon, can't Sensi be more fair to Aqui, and this cap is really out-to -date.

frankly I don't really trust this brazillian, but for EUR9 mil, just wait and see.

  1. I have to say yes. Baptista has always seemed like a loyal player that will play his heart out. He has never been the most skilled player on the field but he has a giant heart, a lot like Perrotta. As for if he does well will really depend on where they play him. As a winger I can't see him doing particularly amazing. His best days where when he was a striker at Sevilla, and that is where I think he should be player. They could use the same lineup as now but push Perrotta out wide (replacing Mancini) and move Totti back to CF in his natural playmaking spot. If that's the case Baptista can win crosses in the air and can more likely than not be fed from Totti 100 times a game. He is a very physically powerful player and I think he may be Roma's missing piece.

  2. He will be replacing Mancini as a right winger. Time will prove whether he is valuble enough.

  3. Well while in madrid he was a decent player but never played consistently. i think it will be difficult for him in italy because it is a much more difficult league. He has played in both the EPL and La Liga and hasnt really been able to break through any of them. Yet maybe he will be able to shine in Seria A. All I can really say is that he is a gamble. you dont know what you are going to get.
