I need a new makeup I'm breaking out with the one I use now which is MAC and it's super expensive. I want to try bare minerals but I'm not sure if it will work for me.

  1. I use it and love it, it also last really long! My friend and I bought the 25$ foundation (we each got one) about 6 months ago hers ran out but mine is still perfectly useable and full! I suggest getting the starter kit, it comes with all of the basics, two shades of foundation, mineral veil, bronzer, blush, an all over face brush, a handi buki brush (best for using the mineral veil, and a concealer brush (I LOVE mine, too bad my dog got it and chewed it up :P I bought another) It is around 65$, which may seem expensive but just the concealer brush cost 20$ so its a great value. I am going to buy the "foiled eye" eye shadow kit as well as soon as I have the $$ saved up for it (35$) Hope I helped!

  2. its the best....

  3. Mary Kay makes a mineral line and they are the smae except that there number one ingredient isn't shimmer and I have heard that less people break out from it.

    It's way cheaper too.

They offer free shipping with a money back guarantee.

I'd be glad to help you out.

I suggest the loose mineral powder for your face.

We have mineral eye shadows, blushes, etc.

  4. It is expensive. Why do you need expensive make up?

I use this bronzer by Covergirl, which adds some tan.

Eye liner, and mascara. Sometimes some shadow.

You don't need layers of "minerals".

  5. I like Bare Essentials because it's light and allows me to look natural. It's not going to melt off in the heat because you don't cake it on. As far as the "amazing" skin balancing effects and "great" coverage - it's not that great. It's a makeup that looks great on you as long as you don't have major flaws like deep dark circles or acne that needs heavier coverage. Bare Minerals will cut down on breakouts but don't expect it to clear up your skin or you'll be disappointed. You kind of need to have skin that is relatively healthy looking to start because it's not going to do the job of heavy coverage! The really great thing is that it blends into your natural skin tone so that you can't make mistakes and make accidental smears of color on your skin by putting it on without bright lights.

  6. Heres the scoop. I am a professional makeup artist and skin care specialist. I deal with many high end events such as weddings, photo shoots etc... My answer to BARE ESCENTUALS would be NO. Do not buy it. I have used bare escentuals in the past on my clientele. It was an ok product but there was many problems. 1) I had many complaints of facial irritation including an uncontrollable *itchy dry feeling that made people want to scratch their face. This is caused by a cheaper filler bare escentuals uses called Bismuth Oxychloride. You can google "bare escentuals Bismuth oxychloride itch" and find pages and pages of people who had irritation and breakouts from using it. 2) It dosen't last very long and due to the bismuth oxychloride (which is a pearlizer-makes the product shiny) you get GREASY looking fast. Don't go with drug store brands, I have years of experience dealing with chemicals and what a lot of people do NOT know is often the reasons they are breaking out is from the very products they are using. There are NO regulations on beauty and skincare items and they load them with harmful chemicals that can cause acne, itching, rashes etc... Especially the big brands like Loreal, Maybelline, Revlon etc... They spend pennies on whats in the product and the big money on the advertising. Don't believe me? Check out your favorite brands here.....http://cosmeticsdatabase.com this site will tell you how loaded with harmful chemicals your fav products are, and yes Mac is on there. I personally use a brand called Faerie Organic Minerals on myself and my clientele and they love it. It blends really well, is all Natural (no cheap fillers, No preservatives, No chemicals) leaves a gorgeous healthy glow and is GOOD for your skin (due to the zinc oxide which covers redness and is anti-inflammatory.) You will look flawless. They have a free mineral sample kit at their site here that beats bare escentuals in quality and price! http://www.faerieorganic.com

  7. bare escentuals mineral makup do work miracles and make you look gorgeous and its also less harmful for you skin. try it out.

apart from that remember to take the makeup off once you are back home and ready for sleep. may be use the proper makeup remover and wash your face. A gentle face pack will bring back the sheen on your face.

  8. YES, THEY LOOK VERY FLAWLESS IN YOUR SKIN AND VERY NATURAL LOOKING =)

  9. I've tried it before and personally it didn't work for me but that doesn't mean it can't work for you. I have fair to tan skin and it almost made me look orange.

  10. my friend uses it but i cant really see the difference between it and regular powder foundations.although i've used it and it feels really good on your skin. it's expensive but if you have ultra sensative skin it might be worth it

  11. I use it now and have had a good experience with it.  I was skeptical at first, but I love how it feels very light while still giving me the coverage I want.  If you decide to try it, I would recommend the starter kit.  It has everything you need to try it out and includes 2 different shades of the foundation.   Another plus is that it does seem to last a lot longer than liquid foundations I have used in the past.

  12. everyday minerals is better.

if you go to their website everydayminerals.com you can get a free sample kit.. you just have to pay $4.00 for shipping.

the colors can be a little hard to match. thats why you should get the sample kit first to see which works best for you.

when you go back to place a full sized order, i suggest the $50 kit. i always get mostly foundations and concealers. the blushes are hard to use and go on dark IMO.

and make sure you get a brush from there. their brushes are awesome.

  13. i love it, but ive heard mixed responses from other people.  id suggest trying it out though.  my skin looks so much better since starting to use it.  and my skin never looks like its caked with foundation.
