  2. I can't find one in the Bar Council, but that doesn't mean he isn't because not everyone is registered (maybe doesn't want to payt the fees?).

    How did you find this person? If they came to you via a solicitor or court, they should have their credentials as well ready for scrutiny.

  4. You usually only access a barrister through another lawyer, called a solicitor, or through a licensed agent.  If you are getting e-mails from a person claiming to be a barrister i would suspect a scam.

  5. No, I think all barristers are illegitimate. Only joking my nephew is one and he's a great guy.
