Is Barry Hall to much of a thug to be playing AFL football?

To king-hit Brent Staker like he did shows that he belongs to be catagorized amongst the lowest form of life. Regardless of which team the victim belonged to - anyone condoning that type of behaviour belongs with the likes of Hall.

I hope he gets the book thrown at him - well & truely.

mate you've sooked up over this one ay! the big guy lost it your players went missing after that, what more can you say.

and hall will get 5-6 end of story,its not the worst act ive ever seen in footy and back in the 80's this sort of thing was dime a dozen.

I would like to start by saying that type of behaviour should not be tolerated at an elite level of sports and i do hope that the book is thrown at him to teach him and other players that wish to display the same behaviour that it WILL NOT be tolerated.  A message to Barry Hall, if you wanna throw hits like that then take up boxing or come see me. Leave football to people that want to play the game properly.

i dont think so, footy has always had these sorts of players, we all know that.

he had a brain snap, who knows why he did it, stupid thing to do, but he done it, i would hate it myself if it was a tiger he done it to, but i'd be hoping every richmond player would be all over him, it would take all of them because we wouldn t have any one to go toe to toe with hall, thats a  given.

He is what footy built itself on. not this weak, drug addeled game we have now.

I say bring back the men who went out tough and hard, smoked ciggies at quarter, half and three quarter time and when they finished a game they had a gut load of grog.

That was footy worth watching

Friggin disgusting. Watching the game, didnt not think that would happen at all. Anyone who thinks Staker is weak by the way i'd like to see you get up when hall punches you in the face!

Yes. I think he has demonstared that he is a thug.

He hasfought in the ring in his younger days & has been trained how to use his fists. To kinghit someone like he did does no credit for the game. I'm sure the AFL tribunal will view his behaviour in the same manner.

It make me wonder on the mentality of those condoning & saying they get enjoyment from watching this type of behaviour.

Even if the AFL  suspend him for 6 weeks, he's going to be out longer with that broken hand, the AFL should wait until his hand is better then give him his match penalties.

He will be rubbed out of the game if he continues. The AFL does not want this type of thuggery in their game. They are doing everything they can to promote it as a family sport.

Those who enjoy administrating the thuggery on the field - & those who enjoy watching it are becoming dinosaurs.
