  1. no. the worst pitchers are in class a  and the great pro pitchers are in mlb.


  2. Dollar for dollar he's one of the biggest bust.  There have been others.

    Carl Pavano might finally be earning some of his money from the Yankees now.

    Mike Hampton got paid a lot for rehabbing the last few years.

    By in the 70's Cleveland paid a bunch of money for Wayne Garland.  They signed him to a 10 year contract but cut him after 5 years.  His record with the Indians was 28 wins and 48 losses.  Zito's been 19 and 29 for the Giants.

    Worst pitcher of all time that wasn't too bad at one time might be Jose Lima.

    2000 7-16, 6.65 ERA

    2001 6-12, 5.54 ERA

    2002 4-6, 7.77 ERA

    2005 5-16, 6.99 ERA

    2006 0-4, 9.87 ERA

    Jim Abbott was 2-18 with a 7.48 ERA in 1996

    Even Roy Halladay had a bad year.  In 2000 he was 4-7 with a 10.64 ERA.

    In 2008 the award goes to Homer Bailey, 0-6 7.93 ERA.

  3. He may be but it could be as easy as giving him a minor league stint. Look at Roy Halladay. was bad at one point and fell as far as Single A. So Maybe Zito needs a minor league stint where they cant check on him and his mechanics.

  4. Hey MEdn don't answer a baseball if you don't know the guy's name.  Secondly, Zito is terrible.  He's arguably the worst in baseball, and def the worst free agent signing in history.

  6. Let's see. He has an 8-16 record. 12 of his losses the Giants scored 2 runs or less. I think his pitching is a result of being on a weak team. Trade him to a contender and see what he does.

  7. Let's just say he is one of the most unpredictable and leave it at that.  You never know what you are going to get each time he takes the mound.

  17. No Rick Ankiel was before. But right now I agree with you that Zito is the worst, but I like him because he never took steroids. Thats the good thing about him.

  18. I would take Zito over Tyler walker ANY day so I say no.

  19. He was pretty wicked in the beginning. Had a sick curve, but he's lost his touch and a lot of his former success, he's far down the drain now. Be one h**l of a miracle if he crawled out.
