  7. I think it is a cool name if he or she is chinese. Its a very unheard name and I like it.

  8. I personally wouldnt use the name, but i guess if you like it and it has meaning for you than go for it. Just be prepared for your kid to change it when he or she is about 18 or so.

    I did some searching and found some great Chinese boys names,

    Deshi- means virtuous

    Bao- means treasure

    Enlai- appreciation

    Jie- one who rises above the rest

    Beijing literally means northern  capitol in Mandarin.

I prefer it for a girl, but please, please, if you're going to name your child this, at least have some connection to the city.  Otherwise it just looks stupid and trendy.  Like those girls named "China" who are blonde haired and blue eyed and are only named that because their parents liked the name.
