Is Belize a good place to go?

We (my husband, daughter and I) have been thinking about where to go for spring break. My daughter suggested Belize. She is a big fan of snorkeling and has heard that Belize has some good spots. She is 10 and is "tomboyish". I would like to know about the safeness of Belize, what (besides snorkeling) would be fun for her, what the food is like, etc., etc.

For your information Belize offers the second largest Barrier reef outside of Australia [ In the world ] with tons of activities to do in that regards there are plenty of good hotels base there and the best thing about the area it not too touristy.

Plus they offer Mountain hiking in there inland area the country is the only English speaking nation on Central America.

You will love it it has some really lovely destinations,the only let down is the night life and partying side of things but excellent with its natural endowe ments

Belize is a jungle. They do accept American dollars. The atmosphere is rather tropical and laid back. Not a whole lot of tourist industry. Check on spincitytravel.com for hotels and activities.

My memories of Belize are primarily of the truly wonderful wildlife and magnificent ancient monuments, which to me raise it above other Caribbean destinations as a place to head for.  Your daughter might, for example, enjoy the experience of canoeing down the Belize river and camping overnight with things like armadillos and gibnuts prowling about. The food is magnificent and caters for all tastes.  You have to be careful in Belize City, but outside the metropolis you will feel perfectly safe.

i would check and make sure that it is safe right now...havent there been known to be a lot of bombings there??? if u are staying at a resort then i guess it really doesnt matter though,, just be safe and have fun

Belize is a great place to go and most of the British go there... It's actually hard to get there from AmeriKa but very easy from the U.K.
