Is Berlitz French Premier a good way to learn the French language?

Do you have any other software recommendations that help you learn French?

I used Berlitz when I was studying Spanish, and it seemed like an excellent program and method of learning. I had to supplement that with other Spanish resources, but it certainly gave me a good foundation, and I'm sure the French version is of equal quality.

I have personally never tried the Pimsleur audio program, but I have heard only good things about it, so I would also recommend that to you. If you already have Berlitz, go ahead and do it, but if you haven't purchased anything yet, I personally know people who have had good results with Pimsleur.
