Is Besa Negra a pretty name for a girl?

My friend is thinking of naming her daughter this. What is your reaction?

I agree with the above answers - not a fan. I wouldn't have translated it into spanish on first glance though...

Besa just reminds me of Bessie... which reminds me of a cow. It would also be an awful name to have to put on a job appliaction.

If it's Bessa Negra, that's not so bad.  I kinda like the name bessa... but if it's besa...(baysa) yuck.

I'm sorry but not to fond of it.. In spanish it means black kiss. Besa meaning kiss and Negra meaning black.
