I'm trying to find out the nationality of my great grandmother. Her last name was Bezag and she was living in Germany. I think it's a Turkish or Armenian name but I'm not sure. I don't know what her first name was.

  1. I searched about it in google and it 's probably an Algerian surname

  2. The spelling in Turkey is Bezaq. German clerks may have changed the q to a g to fit their linguistics. If you want to find out her nationality, find her residency papers. Email me with the dates when she lived in Germany and if she ever went anywhere else and I can find the address of the proper archives that can help you.

  3. Bezag may be a corruption of Bezak

    Bezak: origin & meaning:

Croatian (northern and eastern Croatia): topographic name from a derivative of beza, northern dialect form of bazga ‘elder’.
