  1. 30 billion dollars to him is peanuts, he won't even miss it.

There are poor people who give what little they have to charity and I consider them more generous, as they can't afford it, Gates can.

Noone needs billions of dollars, you can't possibly spend all that money.  He could give most of it away and still live like a king on a few million.

  2. Yes. I think that is a very generous act.

I hope more people will follow his example.

It just proves its the person concerned whether they give money to charity or not.

There are ordinary people who give nothing and others who give time and money.

Likewise some hugely rich people give and others dont.

So it boils down to the type of person u r.

    lead by example.

  3. Sure is.

Generous in doing the work of God.

    As the Son of God.

To make this world a place to live for little children.

Don't forget to keep some for old age.

Leave two empty hands for own little ones.

In time they too will crawl with two empty hands

    To build their own castle.

Don't forget to give them the fishing line, hooks and sinkers

Don't make the same blunders and slip-ups with human errors of the dead Mummy in leaving behind empty skeleton of skull and bones with two empty eye sockets for them.

Wandering lost in climbing up the coconut trees and still look green with lost sense of direction and purpose of life.

Do make sure others don't rob the piggy bank for the little one out there.

    Luke 9.25,55-56,60

    What do you think?

  4. Ok, so he can afford it, and it's not as if he can spend it all himself, but he still doesn't NEED to give so much.  The fact that he does give so much is heartwarming, and I'm sure the people on the receiving end are very grateful.

A penny, a pound or a billion, it doesn't really matter.  The point is, he is helping others less fortunate.  That's got to be a good thing.

  5. He is a great person he is a guy that we should all strive to copy

  6. Warren Buffet's up there too - don't know which has donated the most, though.

  7. Yes. I guess he is a Very Generous Billionaire.

But it's not like he can't afford giving away a couple of Billions of Dollars to Charity. But still that's very generous of him to give away Billions of Dollars to Charity out of he's own Money.

More Multi-Billionares should be like that.

  8. From what i have heard,he sure is. Don't knock the man,at least he is not trying to take it with him, like others.

  9. I'm sure lots of people give money but don't say who they are. I don't think it's about how much money you give, as some people give their time for free to help others and that's worth a lot. I don't think we give enough credit for people who help others for free.

  10. You know you don't have to be a billionaire to be the most generous person. In some of the poorest communities you will find big hearted people who would give you the shirt off their back without a second thought and not expect so much as a thankyou.

When someone who has practically nothing gives you something it's a much bigger deal.

Sorry lol went off on one there.Gates?Yeah probably is,he can well afford it.

  11. yeah you're right. dont you think it's that noble mindset that got him there in the first place. he generous, but i think he's exchanging money for credit. Which isnt exactly complete generousity. However, I still think he is a noble and a well-placed person who has done great. Dont get me wrong, he's generous but having 30 billion dollars and giving away in the billions is not higher than a normal person having 30,000 giving away in the thousands. It's how you give, not what

  12. He has it to give, thanks to 'we' who bought his products! What's more amazing is the poor who give away their last and seek no reward or publicity... ! Wisdom will find true generosity but only the wise will know...

  13. I'm not sure that Gates craves the media attention as much as it craves him. Give him his due, he does a lot of good for a lot of people.

  14. He's certainly one that likes to inform people how much of his billions he gives away. Dunno if that's the same thing as the most generous.

Good on him though. It's not like he can't spare it.

  15. It is all a tax right-off! Besides, if he left his kids billions they would have to pay billions of it in tax duties so rather give most of it away now instead of giving it to the government. I'm sure they have big enough trust funds anyway.

Hyderabad C - Warren Buffet gave his millions to the BIll Gates Foundation. Prob also for tax reasons.

  16. big deal

  17. No the poor man in the street who gives his last penny is the more generous.
