  1. What you did in high school just gives you a better understanding of what you might be interested in the future.  Biological Anthropolgy is a part of my majors.  It deals with evolution.  How we as humans got here.  I think that it is very interesting. It gives you a broader look into cultures also. However, you will also get a taste of all the other types of Anthropology too.  You will have to study cultural, linguistics, Archaeology etc also.  well you will have to take one course in each.  I think that it is all exciting to know how everything evolves.  Sociology and Economics help get a broader look of how everything affect society.  Good luck in your decision.

  2. 1. YES definitely and

    2. yes among many other topics - evolution, disease epideology and spread, nutrition and development....etc.

  3. What you studied in high school will not deter you from anything you would like to study later.  Biological anthro focuses on genetics and what human beings are physically.  Anthropology in general is liberal arts and not hard science but biological anthro is one of the exceptions and is increasingly becoming it's own field and not so much a part of anthropology.  It does not so much deal with race (ethnicity you'll learn it's called) or the way humans look (phenotype) but with genetics (genotype).  Physical anthro (and the forensic anthropology which is becoming popular on TV) deal more with what humans look like and how we've evolved over time (forensics with how to determine information about people from their dead body, body parts, bones, etc)
