I live in Birmingham! Well, it's a h**l of a lot cheaper than London, maybe about the same as Manchester. And then if you are on about property, like most cities, it depends on what area of the city. A rundown, grotty area is cheaper than a nice, pleasent area. I live in the south of the city, in a nice area, and have a mediocre job and have bought my own house, so it can't be that expensive. But with regards to the cost of living then wherever you live it's going to be expensive.
