  1. in my opinion, "yes" because it's a lot of fun. However, there is a bit of violence in there including guns, one or two swear words and few other sensitive issues- nothing more than any regular 12a film you might see in the cinema, but of course this is at your discretion. And the music and acting is really good, so I think it's worth it.

  2. I would say it's not suitable - I don't think they would find it very enjoyable - it is a very powerful story - not a bundle of laughs!!!

Not that there is anything particularly sexual - it is just a very "grown up" storyline.

There are so many other things more suitable - particularly if you are in or near London:-

    The Lion King

    Wicked

    Hairspray

  3. There's not much sexual in the Show as I remember, but violence and death are big themes to the show, depends on what your son finds upsetting!

  4. I'd say YES, but with reservations. It's been a while since I saw it and it has strong themes.  It could be quite upsetting for an 11 year old, but not if you're there to explain things. The story is, I think, about two brothers who grow up in separate homes, not knowing each, whose paths cross and end in violence (I think maybe one kills the other). It's a play that resonates very much with today's times (knife culture, gang violence etc). It is a very moral story with excellent music. It deserves its popularity.

  5. I'm not sure! its quite dark & evil and there are some scary bits where the whole theatre jumps out of their seat!!

    :D
