  1. U.S. The main plant is in Peabody, MA (about 20 minutes from me). They make really nice (relatively inexpensive) speakers.


  2. Technically Japanese.

    Boston Acoustics, though operating and originally founded in Massachusetts, U.S.A., is currently under ownership of D&M Holdings, which is based in Japan and also owns Denon, Marantz, and McIntosh.

    And, to the person below me: just because it's American-made and was originally an American brand, that does not stop a foreign corporation from buying them out.

    Fortunately, D&M Holdings have been very good at not changing things that don't need them, particularly with McIntosh.
