  1. it all depends on the place, some are developed and some are not

  2. It is both! There are areas in Brazil more developded than europe or USA and there are very underdeveloped areas as well such as sub-saharan africa. For example: Brazil is the largest meat producer country in the world, the largest coffee..., largest orange... a producer of airplanes, ships, farmaceuticals, number one soccer nation in the world, it has highly developed cities such as sao paulo, curitiba, Brasilia ... (more populated than Holland and Belgium combined!) Huge stadiums and a vast network of highways and bridges.  very large and modern airports, a banking system second to none in the world, the fouth largest tv network in the world (Globo TV), third biggest in shopping centers, copacabana beach, the amazon, the home of Petrobras ( one of the worlds major oil companies), It possesses 10 major Hidroeletrical power plants, It is the number one producer of Ethanol, (Car and industry fuel) Number one producer of SOY beans (the all industries application plant!), Favelas and an impoverished north eastern region with millions of illiterate people and mal-nourished children... So it is both developed and developing!
