Is Brett doomed to get injured this year?

Question

He is 38, has not played since the NFC Championship loss, and may be due to get injured. I just feel that with all this hype and his lack of offensive weapons in NY, he may take that one shot that could put him out for the year. Not that I want to see it happen, I just get the feeling that it will, Your thoughts?

Nah, he'll be on his guard pretty good. But if he does oh well. He's going to re-retire at the end of the season anyways.

also this is maddens 20th anniversary so maybe the curse ends here?

Why?  Do the Jets not protect their QB as well as the Packers did? Favre has had an unusually long career already.   Why would playing in NY be any different than playing in Green Bay?

I don't consider Laveranues Coles and Jerricho Cotchery to be "a lack of offensive weapons". Laveranues is devastatingly fast, and with Brett's arm, could have a great year. They also have one of the best full backs in the game, lead blocking for a good running back in Thomas Jones. Add the rookie Dustin Keller at TE, along with Bubba Franks, and you've got a good group.

However, if you believe the Madden Curse, then it stands to reason that he will get injured, or his season will be ruined by something.

My thoughts exactly but if he does manage to survive and gets the Jets into the playoffs , they will (JETS) Be tough.

Bret Favre doesn't get injured often and has a tremendous streak of starting games. But, I think this year will be the year that he goes down with injury problems. His age is a major factor and he won't heal as fast as he used to in his younger days.

No one is doomed for injury. If he gets hurt, what would that have to do with his offensive weapons? If he gets hurt it will because of bad luck.
