Is Bristol Motor Speedway the last great coliseum?

Going to be yet another packed house tonight! What's your thoughts? Will they set the Guiness Book World Record for the "wave"? Will all the drivers survive 500 miles or will we see alot of attrition? Will it be an exciting race or has Burton ruined the track by the new design?

  1. I think its going to be a great race. The "wave" ought to be awesome. It will happen, Ive been there when the whole crowd turned into a American flag. I don't think Bruton Smith has ruined the track. They can race two and three wide now. Before they resurfaced the track if you weren't at the bottom you slid to the back quick. The drivers love it. Its not even two years old yet and have the COT now just give it another year or so and it will be back in most peoples good graces.

Nice hat Jeff! Its approriate for tonights race.

  2. I love Bristol, there's just so much energy there.

  3. I really think they can set that record. I think this week is gonna be another big mix up in the top 12. Its gonna be exciting its Bristol but its not the new design of the track that ruins the racing its that dam car. But side by side racing in this little arena thats racing.

  4. Aw Bristol.Fenders rubbing, hand gesters flying, revenge, late hits and thats just pulling out of the pits for the pace laps.

    Bristol the Best.

  5. I like the old Bristol but Sadler's getting good at this new one (he owned the last one) so I'm warming up to it. Last night's race was great!

  6. Yes, in my opinion but hate the new type of 2-3 wide racing, and hope they get the WAVE Record..they are shooting for it..

and YES does look like Coliseum and the Warriors doing battle, gotta love it

  7. It is but the racing hasn't been as good lately. I like to see the drivers get riled up and bang the fenders. Nice hat, by the way...

  8. used to be better

  9. If its not broke don't fix it.   There are 10 other tracks without a bad seat in the house.     As I always say.  If I wanted to watch a Dover race I'd go to Delaware.    Last nights race was horrible except for Keselowski winning.  I believe it was finished 40 minutes ahead of schedule.    It simply needed to be repaved and nothing more.

  10. It definitely is an awesome track. I would love too see it in the World Record Books.

  11. Bristol is great the great one!!

    i still miss the "ROCK"

i just wish the cars today wouild act like they did a couple of years ago .. i miss the fender benders the tossing of helmts and other stuff

  12. old bristol was it in nascar! now its boring!still the track is awesome no bad seat in the house!

  13. WB, btw Winter.  Bristol still not without excitement and appeal.  Should be a tense and attention holding race and give you a triple yes on word association with Sparta and spirit.  Hats on to you, brother and I wish I could cram into Bristol myself.  Will be a memorable show.

  14. I miss Bristol.....the REAL Bristol!!!

  15. YES they will.  Maybe when all those 'uninformed'  people see it they will know that NASCAR is a sport, and that our fans fill more seats than other sports stadiums!!  Whoo hooo!!!!!

Well guess we will have to wait and see about the track.  I hope not!

    P.S.  Nice hat.  lol

  16. 500 miles at Bristol Motor Speedway would be 938 laps!

  17. I think it is. It is such an awesome place. I think they could get the record. I think about 8 or 9 drivers will fall out from one thing or another. To me they could race power wheels around the track and it would be exciting. I think the only place that will come close will be Iowa when it opens.
