The OFT are investigating 112 renowned building firms for engaging in a form of price fixing. All of these firms were involved in local authority capital projects;

Should these firms be more heavily fined for effectively stealing from the public, and is this the underlying reason that flagship projects in the UK, (Wembley, T5, Olympics) cost astronomically more than anywhere else in the world ?

  1. Businesses everywhere are corrupt. Even in the smallest ones you will find some kind of fiddling going on, I believe. I think the only honest ones are the one or two man outfits who struggle every day to make a living, while the fat cats cream off their profits on the  backs of the hard working masses.

    Virgin and BA have just been 'told off' for price fixing fuel surcharges - and who are the people they scammed - us, the travelling public.

  2. Behind every great fortune there is a great crime.

  3. If there is a human element anywhere there will be corruption..
