Given the urgency at which eurocrat chew toys Gordon Brown and David Miliband are keen to sign everyone, including the Irish, up to the Lisbon treaty, I cannot help but wonder, are the freedoms that our nation has inheritted from its long history, the 'dispossable asset' of an effectively self-appointed and NON elected prime minister? Is our freedom free to give away?

  1. im not sure how you reach the conclusion that the lisbon treaty = our freedom, or lack of it. as for gordon brown not being an elected prime minister - we do not vote for the prime minister - we vote for the party that we believe has the manifesto that we agree with, or for the party whose values most represent our own - so if you voted labour, it doesnt mean you voted solely for tony blair. i cant believe that ppl are so worried about the eu after all these years we have been in it, with lots of benefits to our country in that time

  2. The fact that Gordon Brown was not elected really has nothing to do with it - after all, Tony Blair was just as willing to sign our lives away to Europe. But yes, I think you have a point. These men seem to believe that they have the right to do whatever they want with this country, even turn it into just another state in the country of Europe, without asking what the public wants, even though it is exceedingly obvious that not only nearly everyone in britain, but nearly everyone in Europe, does not want this treaty.

  3. I agree that we need a General Election urgently for the sake of democracy. and also a Vote Regarding the future of the EU, and whether we should be drawn in to some federal superstate.

Nobody elected this Clown, and dodgy deals done in Islington Restaurants do not constitute democratic process.

  4. england has no freedom,we can't vote for an english goverment unlike the rest of the uk & the world for that matter.

  5. To give the freedom and independence of Britain is an act of Treason by those who do so.

In more vigorous times traitors gate would be used quite frequently. I notice it has been blocked up over recent years, I wonder why and by whom

  6. Brown serves his masters only, he could not possibly care any less about the electorate. Our freedoms mean absolutely nothing to him.

  7. Yes you'r quite right our freedom's are being eroded, which our Queen took a coronation oath to safeguard, yet her and our government have committed treason against their people and country.  It is only left to people power, we must help ourselves and each other before we are dragged into a supper state dictatorship, we must get organized, we also have a creeping cancer in our country named 'Common Purpose'.
