Im 28 y/o, male, of greek descent and I'm moving this fall in London for my masters. I will study at Goldsmiths, New Cross (SE14), but I think nearby Brockley is safer. What do you think?

  1. I live 15 mins from New cross. Brockley is ok. I don't know if you heard though that two french students were brutally murdered in new cross on Sunday. This is of course an isolated incident however just be warned the whole of London is getting worse. We are moving out.  However I do love london and have always lived around the new cross area (grew up on Old Kent /road) and I have personally never felt threatened.  I will be back when the children are older.

  2. As long as you are street smart then you should be safe in many places in London.  New Cross and Brockley are safe enough just avoid walking around at night alone.

  3. who knows where is safe nowdays

  4. I did my PGCE at Goldsmiths. New Cross is safe enough, unless you are in the habit of wandering around late at night.

    Brockley is OK too.
