Is Brown University considered a prestigious university, worldwide?

My brother is going to be attending the school pretty soon but says he wants to work overseas, maybe in Europe or in the Middle East, but he is worried about the name recognition and prestige his degree has outside of the US. Brown has a great name here as an ivy league, but what about overseas?
