  1. Yes and No.

Buenos Aires is a good tourist destination, but you should also go to other places like Carilo, Mar Del Plata, Bariloche, Perito Moreno, or Iguacu, or else you will get bored after a week or so.

On the downside though, you can't make yourself stand out as a tourist or you will be vulnerable to crime. Don't be afraid to do some of the local practices like crossing on a red light if nobody's coming, and never be spotted with a map.

  2. Buenos Aires is an ok destination, it's ok if you stay for a week, I wouldn't recommend more than that.

What's good it's that it's cheap, so you can buy lots of stuff and go to lots of places cos' the entrence price is low , like pubs, restorants, etc...

I would recommend you to visit:

    - Puerto madero

    - Tigre & delta

    - San telmo (hahahaha that's where the daughter of bush was robbed!)

    - Av. Libertador

    - Palermo neighbourhood

    - Florida street

    - the obelisc (downtown)

and that's it, there are more places, but the most interesting ones are those.

    Good luck!

  4. Leon, Buenos Aires is an excellent destination for tourism. It is an incredible city with good food and great people.

If you are planning to come to Argentina I will suggest you to travel to Buenos Aires and to other destinations such as Iguazu, Bariloche or Calafate. For a tour like these, you will need two weeks.

  5. Buenos Aires is a great tourist destination, I live in Buenos Aires 3 to 6 months of the year and run an Americas travel consultancy, see my guides at http://www.buenosairesstay.com/bastay/ge...

If you are visiting Buenos Aires for a holiday, business or to Buenos Aires Stay for a while, then you are in for a real treat. There is so much to tell you, I am not sure where to start. This one of the most impressive cities I have had the privilege to visit. Its unique character is built on Spanish colonialism, smuggling and p****y, political and social upheaval and mass European immigration, all of which contributed and to some extent still flourish in this multi-cultural melting pot. Its diversity, tolerance, history and eclectic nature give rise to an energy, passion, elegance and romance; it is said, 'when you watch the tango, you watch the very essence of Buenos Aires.'

The immigrant populations have signposted their arrivals with amazing avenues and boulevards that offer some of the most inspired and diverse architecture I have seen anywhere. Its grandeur and underlying poverty; its love affair with good honest beef and potatoes gastronomy; the fine Argentinean wines; its very distinctive districts ( barrios ) all make this one of the most fantastic cities for the inspired holidaymaker.
