I don't know how much credit Bush can take for the success of the war on terrorism, just as I don't know if we should blame Clinton for all the terror attacks on U.S. interests abroad during his term, but the number of terror attacks and has gone way down since 911 and was at an all-time high during the second term of the Clinton administration.  

Maybe we can deduce that the rash of attacks on the US during this time was due largely to the fact that we were an easy target, because of the weakened state of the intelligence gathering organizations.  Many Americans forget that we were getting attacked every few months back in the 90's probably because it happened in another country, or in the case of Oklahoma City, it was carried-out by an American.  That stuff doesn't happen with the frequency that it did 10 years ago. So yes, terrorists are being held at bay.  Give the credit to whomever you want.

He's guaranteeing it. If the public want to me safe, they have to rise up against the government with all their rage until they force the government to join the international consensus and demand a total Israeli withdrawal from all Palestinian territories.
