Question:

Is California Screamin scary (please read my details)?

I am VERY, VERY scared of the drops on roller coasters. I do NOT like the "dropping your stomach" feeling. However, each time I see California Screamin, I REALLY want to ride it. Is it scary? Are the drops really freaky (does your stomach get that "dropping your stomach" feeling?)?

  1. No it doesn't have a dropping felling I think at all.

I live in Southern Cali and I have my whole life so far.

I've been to California Adventures many times it's not bad.

    Take my advice.

    Best Answer maybe?

  2. Well it does have a loop, but the drops aren't that intense.  I love it though, it's one of my favorite coasters if only for the music.

I'd say give it a try.

  3. Here is my answer to your question "Is It Scary" actually yes but if your talking about the drops it is scary but there is something more scarier even though it doesn't look scary. Its actually the launch part at first. I know because Rock N Roller coaster in Disney world  has a launch part and its a lot much faster. Here's a tip for you, when the launch part is over adrenaline starts to flow in your body meaning you'll start feeling "not scared" and actually enjoying the drops. I'm guessing after you ride you'll want to ride it again.

  4. There is only one point when you really feel the dropping feeling and that's on the first drop after the takeoff.

However, if you pull your seat protector down more, you won't feel it as bad.  I like wearing it looser to feel the dropping stomach.

  5. When you go straight down you don't feel it. The other day ago I went on superman ride of steel at six flags new england, and I did't feel anything in my stomach. I felt it more on the wooden coaster there called cyclone.

  6. it IS scary but it is worth it.  a ride at Calif Adventure that will really get you scared though is Tower of Terror.  that one was really unexpected. have fun!

  7. The ride is relatively tame but if you don't like that feeling in your stomach then don't go because their are many drops and is the second longest steel coaster in the us. Ride the new nearby Toy Story Midway Mania! instead.

  8. No California Screamin' is not scary at all.

120 feet high."not high at all"

108 foot drop.''not big at all"

    55 mph."not fast at all"

    1 loop."not scary"

The launch is the scariest part but it isn't scary.  It is very quick.  Then you go up and then down but on your side so your stomach doesn't drop.  You then go back up do some turns and then you go up again.  This time slowly heading towards the drop.  Once you hit the top you start to get a little scared but then your already at the bottom going back up and you wonder where the drop went.  You don't even notice it because it actually is really small and your on your side so that helps a lot.  So after you've gone back up after the drop you turn, hit the brakes to slow down, do a liile dip and go through the loop.  This is the worst loop ever.  You don't even feel it or get any force.  It isn't scary so don't be worried about the loop at all.  Then after the loop you go back up into another drop which is on your side, go back up, do some more turns and then you do 3 little hills very slowly, then you go down a little bit on your side through a helix that takes your picture and then the ride is over.  If you don't don't know what a helix is it is when you are on your side going around and around.  You will see what it looks like when your in line for the ride.  It is right there, you'll see it.  It isn't scary at all.  Ok back to the ride.  Yes it is pretty long when you talk about it and look at it but when you ride it it is over very quickly.  It is also VERY smooth so you don't have to worry about roughness.  Overall it is a good, fun, ride that is not scary.
