Generally is Canada a good place to live? Is it better than the US? Are there lots of bugs? Is the internet good? Are the people nice? Also to be more specific, I'd kind of like to live near but not in a city. And I really like snow and the cold. I don't want to live some where with bad crime either. Does such a place exist?

  1. yes it is,

the bugs would most likely be the same as in the US but it also depends on the place that you live or would be living.

the internet is no different from the US..

a lot of big citys have suburbs which are very close and make the city very convinent.

snow comes to canada usually through the months on november - march sometimes april,

we are very much like the northern states on the US

crime happens in every part of the world, it all depends on the area you live in

  2. Yeah if you like Conservative redneck government (Stephen Harper)

  3. rememer this.....

Canada's warmest place is just north of Minnesota!!

    It's freaking cold there.

  4. I geard British Columbia is! I heard it is like California on Summer time, except that on Winter it snows there and it doesn't in California. I also heard that jobs there are good and living is too, very much like California minus the snow really!

  5. Personally I like living in Canada. I have never lived in the US but I'm a duel-citizen so my opinion is not totally bias!

    - Bugs just like US

    - Internet just depends on your connection (don't live in the bush if you want Internet:P)

    - The people can be nice or mean just like anywhere else, just depends on who you meet

    - Snow you will generally get some snow anywhere in Canada but some places get more than others.

    - Crime once again just depends on the area, in Canada the types of Crimes are the same as in the US. I don't know any stats on the crime rate.

  6. friendly people, not much crime, snowy and cold. oh i think canada will do it for ya. i think theyre typically more liberal than we are here

  7. Yes, i believe 100% that Canada is better than the USA.

Firstly I live here so maybe my opinion is a little one-sided but that's besides the point.

Without giving too much away of the place i live, it's near Toronto, the capital of Ontario (the province closest to NY, approx. 1-2 hours from Buffalo) the cities surrounding Toronto is called the GTA. Although cities such as Hamilton, Toronto, and Scarbourough are high-crime, other cities such as Barrie, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and Burlington are very nice places to live that aren't necessarcilary high-crime.

Yes there is snow, a lot of it, the winters are not extremley cold.

Our climate in Ontario can seldomly be compared to that of New York's and that's about it =)

I also think that Canada is a better place to live than the USA because it's a lot safer in my opinion environmentally speaking. But it also depends on where you live and your job as well.

speaking of Ontario specifically, the GTA (greater toronto are) is a popular and safe place to live. Minus those cities i mentionned earlier.

    good luck !
