  1. Oh whatever....  America should just take the blame for everything huh?   Maybe your country can figure out its psychos in advance but evidently we can't and so be it.  Price of freedom I think.  Sorry, but this is a dumb and inflammatory question that solves nothing.

  2. Obviously you are a judgmental idiot.   It is offensive that a Canadian would make such a statement especially after the news was broken that the man in question was Canadian.  Secondly I would like to point out the humanity of Americans in risking their lives in times of danger.  Such as apprehending the assailents during the 911 hijackings and the good samaritans who intervien during times of crime and violence like the subway vigilanti.

I don't think Canadians have a leg to stand on when they ran out of the bus leaving a crazed madman alone with this poor man (saving injury to themselves) while he continued to get stabbed and decapitated.

Seems like someone should have had the bravery to intervien and stop the guy from further mutilating this young man.

By the way Canada depends on the violence of America, like it our not.  The Canadian armed forces are elapsed two fold by the military population of most of the individual American states.  Lets hope our resources are available to Canada if they ever are in need of our "violent ways."  But then again maybe France will help you out....Good luck.

  3. The "obvious" question? What sense does it make to ask if Americans are at fault? I'm sorry, but Americans are not so powerful they the can claim to be the "inventors of violence". Remember Cain & Able (if you believe in

the bible) or cavemen who clubbed their animals to death for dinner?

Obviously, it's the murderer who is to blaim. A better, more valuable relevant and rational question would be WHY did the other passenger's and driver passively sit back and watch, then exit the bus to prtoect themselves rather than to help the victim. It was ONE man wielding a KNIFE, not a gun or bomb. What has happened to humanity (not just Americans) that we have become so selfish and apatheitc that we "mind our own business" so much and turn a blind eye to our brethren? I feel for the second perpretrators, the passive ones (bystanders), who will relive this event both visually and through guilt for the rest of their lives. If in the future, they become victims, I hope their bystanders don't do as they did on the bus and stay bystanders but step in to help them as humans are hardwired to do (if they are ethical and compassionate).

  4. I'm starting off by assuming you're Canadian. WHY would it be America's fault? Give me a logical answer, would you please?

  5. This is why I never take a bus.

  6. I think that's the last question anyone would think of. The real question is why/how would a 40-year-old monster emerge out of the woordwork to commit this nightmare murder?

  7. I would like to send a heartfelt statement to the victims family, my thoughts are with you, this was a terrible event. Your loss is tremendous.

Next, what kind of person would think "Is it America's fault?" is an obvious question?

And yes, I am an American... with compassion. It can be difficult to fathom, I know.

  8. Yes, it's our fault.  We were secretly transmitting radio signals at 108.6 Mhz into the psycho's teeth.  And if you believe that, I have ocean front property to sell you in Nebraska.

The only one to blame is the psycho.  To blame the US for the murder is dumb.

  9. Are you kidding me?   The criminal who committed this horrifying crime should take responsibility - it's HIS or HER fault, not America's.  Good grief!  I'm shocked you would even ask that here....

  10. Yes, America invented violence.

  11. And I thought my seatmates were bad.

  12. Why not - it has to be someones fault ........couldn't just be the crazed killer's fault.

There will be a line of lawyers dragging  doctors out to blame his parents or society or his economic position or just the world in general so why not

throw the US in for good measure

  13. If by America you mean the USA (little known fact America and American refers to all of the Americas, north and south, and all people living in those areas) then it's no more their fault than 9/11 was Canada's fault. However when 9/11 happened you had more "influencial" people from the U.S. pointing the finger at Canada not just some random person on yahoo ;)

  14. You are a mediocre person with ignorant frame of mind.

  15. Actually Ive noticed a number of real bizarre freaks who emerge out of the canadian wilderness.  Remember the guy with the pig farm who murdered like 500 prostitutes in an area with a total population of like 750 people, and he fed the remains to his pigs, and no one noticed for like 10 years.  Never mind the fact that the `prostitute to average citizen` ratio is horribly skewed,.. basically the major career option/choise in the nation of canada appears to be `prostitute`.

I think TOO MUCH seclusion to the point of total isolation, (LOTS OF SKINNING THINGS TO EAT THEM, it gets TOO easy after the first time I guess) and the fact you are in canada, is really not good for people, especially over a generation of two.  Rural is one thing.. but 40 below for four months out of the year, your living in an empty snowpack the size of Brazil, and your prom date was an elk, spells trouble.

  16. Yes, but its nothing to lose your head over.

  17. First off, this is a truly horrific tragedy, and I am sorry for the victim's family and their loss.

I have to totally agree with what cptnamerican had to say.  When Americans are confronted with a dangerous situation we don't run away.  Another example just recently was the church shooting in Tennessee.  The people there in the church at the time of the shooting responded by dogpiling the GUNman, saving more lives.  That guy had a gun, and they still attacked him, placing their personal safety at risk.  Is it America's fault?  Please, the only thing that America should be at fault for here, is not teaching Canada a lesson in patriotism.

  18. A better question would be why no one thinks this is China's fault. It has been stated he was Chinese. Only in country 4 years.  Why does everyone ignore this?

  19. America's fault.  Yes.  That' s what all the beer chugging, pot smoking people living on the streets of New York would tell.  To them, it's always America's fault.

To the smarter half of society, how would it be America's fault?  He picked up some American vibe that told him "Hey idiot, brutally stab the kid next to you, then cut his head off".  Yup, that's what happened.

    Wow.

  20. why would it be americas fault, it happened in canada and we don,t know what nationality the people involved were still would,nt matter

  21. Why Yes, isn't everything that isn't good blamed on the Good Old US?

And every thing good or new is Russian or Iranian?

Ya got to laugh, envisioning a Bolshevik standing in the snow, flying a kitenik.

  22. Seven answers to a troll question is that the record for you so far?

  23. its no Countries fault it was a sick man who didn't get the help he needed that is all

  24. No one in Canada thinks this is America's fault.  I live in Canada and I'm originally from Texas.  Canadians are not any less brave than Americans.  That's ridiculous.  Can everyone just take a moment and think before you say stuff.  People did go back on the bus to try and stop the attacker.  Its hard to know what your first reaction would be to something like that.  If I was going to try and stop someone with a knife I'd definitely want to have something to go at him with like a hammer.  Also, at some point the poor young man was dead and then it would be most important to contain the man on the bus and protect the other passengers which is what happened.

  25. Um, that's definately not the obvious question on everyone's mind. The obvious question is why would a man kill and decapitate another man that had done absolutely nothing to him, and showed no emotion while doing so. And by the way, his name is Vince Weiguang Li. American? NO. ******* canadian...

  26. Uh, no. It isn't America's fault.
