Is Canadian tire open on Canada Day?

The only large retail stores that are allowed to open Canada Day are ones in designated tourist areas... and even then, they might not be open.  Other than that, the law states that they must be closed for the holiday.

I don't know what short shrimp is talking about. In BC, just about every large store is open on holidays, probably with Sunday hours, but it varies from place to place and by province. Smaller stores are quite likely to be closed. The big stores usually only close on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

I checked on the Canadian Tire website, it said that some stores will be open, and some won't, so it's best to phone and check before you go.
