Is Cancun a good place to take a family?

its me and my mom dad brother.. luckly im taking my cousin so we can go alone places.

In my opinion it is the best place for a family. I was there June 2006, there was no hurricane damage.

I stayed at the RUI Palace Mexico, it was amazing. There is something for everyone there. We went on two Jungle tours, Scuba diving, laid on the private beach behind the resort, shopping, and etc.

The best part about Cancun is most of the resorts are all inclusive meaning you pay for all services including food and drink upfront in the package price.

I would move there if my husband would go for it! I loved it there.  

I went to Kuai, Hawaii last year and I liked Cancun far better because the activities they offer and the cost is far less than anywhere else.

Oh yes!!! Its gorgeous. Great weather, great tourist spot, warm and helpful people. You will have a blast.

Yes but not at the moment. They are cleaning up from a recent hurricane.

yes...i took my two kids (ages 12 and 10) and they loved it!  Its really nice, but be careful...its very hot and crowded.

sure, and there r lottsa nice places 2 visit in the surroundings, like eco parks, archeological sites, beaches, etc

The last major hurricane was more than a year ago. I went in May '07. It's beautiful and it's a great place for families. Beaches are great, tours, water parks, swim with dolphins, pirate dinners etc.etc. Highly recommend it.
