  1. Generally, all courses are difficult if you dont know how to appreciate them. All I can say is study well. Of course engineering courses are quite hard but not at all if you value your study habbit. Apply time management, dedicate to your subjects and focus on what field you are weak. Dont study just to obtain a degree, study to obtain knowledge out of it.

  2. well I remember in school people saying how hard tests were all the time and they were always stressed and then they would get like 98% on all these tests everytime and still *****. so who knows all depends on what you can understand. if your smart enuf you will be fine and learn as you go.

  3. As a mechanical engineering student my chemical engineering student friend claimed that chemical engineering was the hardest study course because you had to learn so many chemical and formulas.  Mechanical engineers had to take courses in organic and inorganic chemistry (but not advanced chemistry) and he may have had a good point.  There is a difference between 'liberal arts chemistry' or pure chemistry and chemical engineering.  Chemical engineers must learn how to apply pure chemistry to various practical applications, including large chemical plants.  Safety must be an utmost concern.  Almost all engineers must cross-train in the basics of each others disciplines (electrical, mechanical, civil, aeronautical, industrial, chemical, marine, etc.) to collaborate on large projects involving multidisciplines.  But that only makes it more interesting.

  4. As long as you study smart and hard nothing will be difficult

    Dont be stressed up

  5. It is one of the most difficult engineering disciplines, ahead of Electrical and Mechanical.  Probably due to the high level of memorization required.  Chem-E's blur the line between engineer and scientist.

However, like everything, if it is your mindset, you will excel.

And if you don't you can always change your major to Industrial Engineering, and coast to a degree.
