Is it exspensive (food, admission etc)? We come from Essex so how long could we expect the journey to be?

  1. Hello I have been to both Chessinton and Thorpe Park a few times and have to say as you have a few adults going you would be far better off at Thorpe Park. There are more extreme rides there but still plenty for the kids and I believe the distance would be about the same (2 hours ish). We are just a bit further up the Essex and it takes about 2.5 hours. Tickets are about 24 for adults if booked online. Food would be typically about 5.00 per meal for McDonalds or KFC etc

  2. Hi well im a big theme park fan i've been to chessington, alton towers, thorpe park, blackpool, drayton manor not to mention the theme parks in america fl0rida, anyway chessington is a great day out, there are alot of rides for young kids and for the older peeps and i haven't been in a while but yeah it is pretty expensive i think its £100 for 5 adults the last time i went but and i think kids under 12 are half price. The food as best i can remember is pretty pricey. I'm from essex also and i think the journey is about 1 and a half hours maybe a little more or less depending on traffic. Hope i helped.
