Is Chicago at the bottom of Lake Michigan?

I don’t have an atlas and I only have a vague idea of American geography so I need some help here.

Yes, at the southern tip of it, on the west side. I live just a short distance north of Chicago, come visit!

Chicago is situated on the western shore of  the south point of Lake Michigan.

Well, Chicago COULD be on the bottom of Lake Michigan...if the band went out on a boat that sank!!!!

If you mean at the southern end, no. It's several miles north on the west side.

very nearly drowned too. but really its i near the southwest end of the lake in cook county, illinois.

Its not at the bottom of lake Michigan or hundreds of thousands would drown.  

But yes its right beside the lake on a map.
