  1. the childline number is 0800 1111

0800 numbers are free, but I'm not sure about it turning up on the phone bill. u could always use a public phone, when u would have some privacy and time to ur self!

    good luck

  2. Because ChildLine is an 0800 number, calls are free and don't show up on a BT or cable phone bill. Calls to ChildLine on 0800 1111 are currently free from all the existing networks - 3, BT Mobile, Fresh, O2, Orange, T Mobile, Virgin, Vodafone. I have been told that calls will not appear on any of these bills.

If your mobile/home phone isn't with any of those networks then maybe you could contact them online?

Hopefully it all works out for you!

BTW - If your scared about looking for advice on their website because it shows up on your history, they have a section of the site which helps you cover up your tracks!

  3. It is definately free though it might show up on a bill just as a call, i would use your mobile or a phonebox.

  4. You can call childline free but it would show on an itemised bill, best to use a public phonebox.

  5. Childline is a free phone number.  The number might appear as an 0800 number on your phonebill but your parents would need to check the number to find out who it is.  I would encourage you to phone them, they will advise you what to do.

    Take care!

  6. Use a friend's cell phone.

  7. Calls to childline are free and wont show up on the bill, they are great for kids advice but beware in 2001 i had a rotten deal with them.

My upstairs neighbour was beating up her son quite regular, i phoned childline but they refered me to social services, which i did, they agreed to interview my woman neighbour and her abused son but wanted me present, i agreed to attend.

unfortunately the day befoe i was due i developed bad flu, so stayed in bed, i was then promptly accused by social services of making up the story.

It did not end their me and my mum were ordered before a race discrimination meeting board, as my neighbour came from thailand, she just sobbed put on a innocent act and flirted with the old chairman, we were acciused of fabricating everything, that was not true she beat her boy every night, he even told me.

would i ever help a abused child again, well yes.

  8. It's completely free and will not appear on a phone bill.

See the site below to assure yourself. =)

(To posters who have said it will show. Please do your research first. It took me all of about 5 seconds to Google it to make sure. Please do the same, particularly in a delicate matter like this.)

  9. its a free number and i really i'm sure they wouldn't put the name on the phone bill but just incase, tell your parents you are going the shop or somthing and use your mobile.

    Good Luck.

  10. em hey , i was in the same sort of situation last year my dad was saying and doing hurtful stuff to me when i was 13 and when i told my mum and sister they didnt belive me cos when my dad did do it my sister would be getting ready to go out or was out and my mum just pretended that i made it all up. it was killing me so i phoned them and no matter what anyone else says to you that they got punished or whatever it does really help to speak to them and you dont even have to tell them anything about you . it helps but you dont have to . well im not sure cos if your phones are with Tiscali it doesnt mention that . em maybee use your mobile or you could ask to use a friends phone . i know that they are free on vodafone , virgin , O2 , 3 , bt mobile , orange and fresh . i wish you all the luck in the world . dont let him put you down and stay strong xxxx

  11. its totally free and does NOT show on bills so go ahead and call someone no one will know x*x

  12. I believe it is free and it will not show up on your phone bill.  Perhaps you could speak to someone at your school?  Either about the situation that is upsetting you, or to ask more about Childline?  I hope things work out alright for you.  Take care x
