China took away the bibles of American christians, they have had many, many protests on tibet. They have demanded western media not record some disturbing footage and they have threatened their own people. I'm sure you will possibly have seen alot bad about China on the news also.

Is it heading for war?

  1. No.

Because the western country leaders (include President Bush) have discovered that:

    1. It is too costly to fight with China - Chinese rulers will use nuclear weapon or bioweapons on US, threatened by some of their generals.

    2. Fighting with China means saving Chinese people from its rulers. However, Chinese rulers bribe the western learders/corporate, Chinese flee to western countries to study. Best Chinese flee to US to work. Thousands of the Communist officials have transfered billions of dollars from China to US/Canada/UK/Aus. Keeping China as it is benefits western countries - where can you find a cheaper factory for the world? Which government would hurt its people for its own benefit? Only China!

    3. There are secrets between some western politicians/corporate leaders and the Chinese gov. The latter always create/keep "evidence" of wrongdoings of the formers from the moment they entered China. Giving China a really hard time means doing harm to their own reputation.

Democracy countries can rarely bring down a tyrannic country, as a tyranny may collect all the resources from its people and use that power to influence/against the world.

People in democracy countries only care about their own lives. Leaders of democracy countries cannot make its people to save people from other countries at the costs of their own comfort. History shows that people live in peace have to be dragged into war, or they won't fight.

History also shows barbarians destroy civilization for many times, because civilized people are too civilized: too naive, too lazy, too soft, too weak, too easy to be destroyed.
