Is China and other countries around it considered to be the far East?

You know how the U.S. is consitered the West and Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, etc. are the middle east. What would China be consided as?

China and the other countries to the immediate east and southeast of it are considered the Far East.

Not only the US, but all of North and South America are considered the West, and I think maybe western Europe may be sometimes included in the west.
