  1. China is a friendly country in comparison to America. China does not attack any countries in decades while US constantly impose its own will on other country's affair and will not hesitate to attack if it serves its purpose and benefits. Iraq is an example. So, US should be viewed more as an unfriendly nation and in order to return it to its glory past, there needs to be a counter force and China should be promoted to that position by other developing countries.

  2. I dont know what china has done to american families for them to hate them so much. It seems like americans have very negative views about communism and fail to respect each other differences. Chinese has never criticized the Iraq war of Weapons of mass destruction or bypassing NATO to attack iraq or sending spy plane into china. But US took every chance they get to criticize about SARS, olympics, and tibet. Tibet is China but tibetans doesnt like Hans people thats all. The Hans never mistreated them maybe the govt a little bit.

  3. I wouldn't go as far as to say "friendly" however it is a nation we have to trade with.  We do owe them quite the amount of money. However it'll certainly be interesting to see how China and American relations develop over the next 5-20 years.  By which time China's economy supposedly will double even triple by according to most economists.

  4. Well, I will view MOST of the Chinese people as "friendly" following the Olympics... not much of a change from my previous view.

HOWEVER, it doesn't change the fact that the Chinese GOVERNMENT is still a Communist, Totalitarian regime that does not accept free speech, 80% of industry is state-owned, and refuses to engage in EQUAL trade with other nations (I hate the term "Free Trade").

China is still spying and stealing technology... it refuses to enforce INTERNATIONAL law regarding copyright laws, and is noticeably pushing it's military into a war-footing.
