Is Chipotle healthy?

I'm trying to not eat so much junk fast food, like McDonalds or Taco Bell, but I loooove Chiptole. Is it healthy to eat or not? And I don't care about calories becuase I know there are lot, I just mean is it healthy?

  1. Its not too fattening but its not healthy. although, its ok to have once in a while just not daily.


  2. it is decidedly NOT healthy, but scrumptious all the same!!

Their food is very healthy!  If you look at the actual ingredients, it's mainly whole foods and nothing deep fried.  Beans, guacamole, tomatoes, lettuce-all good for you!  The bad stuff is cheese and sour cream, but if you go light on them it's fine.  The flour tortillas are made with refined grains (not good for you) but are a small part of the whole meal (although I'd stay away from the crispy taco shells because they're deep fried).  If you want to be super healthy just get the burrito bowl.

  4. i love Chipolte also!!!! its not healthy though. i say if you eat unhealthy things, not a lot, you can work it off by exercising.  

  5. well, it certainly won't compare to a salad, but I doubt it would be something as bad as McDonald's.  In any case, I wouldn't be worried about eating at Chipotle, unless you live there or something...I mean, it's just meat, beans, tortillas, etc. Not something like synthetic meat with MSG.

    I really like it too but I usually end up eating about a fourth of a tabasco bottle when I eat there so I get sick...

  6. i wouldn't say that its "healthy" but it makes me feel better than eating a burger and fries.

    they do have a ridiculous amount of salt in their food, which is REALLY bad for you considering americans eat too much salt in their normal everyday diet.

  7. NOOOO! it is one of the worst foods in America that you can eat.   it's extremely high in sodium and fat!  

  8. Well, overall their food is not too unhealthy. They are usually bashed for the huge portions that they serve. I would advise getting the three tacos with the grilled chicken, veggies and salsa (no cheese, sour cream or guacamole) and eating only half and taking the rest home. They easily give you double portions without you even knowing it!

  9. Well lets face it, its not a salad and its not the healthiest thing you can eat. But it is a lot more healthier than a typical fast food chain liek McDonalds, Burger King, or Jack in the Box. You shoudl fine, jsut dont eat all of what they give you at once. Kinda pace your self so you dont over eat.
