Is Cinque Terra worth a day trip?

Question

My boyfriend and I will be going to Italy for 1 week, splitting up our time between Florence and Rome. I've heard great things about Cinque Terra and would love to go. I'm not sure if we have enough time to actually stay there, so I was wondering if Cinque Terra doable as a day trip?

Please be detailed. Thanks for the advice!

Yes!!! Le Cinque terre is such a beautiful place and it's def worth going even for just one day!!!

yes of course. their is one town that you can scuba dive or just go into the water. afterwards, go get lunch since it is the freshest seafood that you can get. don't gorget to hike to the other towns.

have fun! watch out for the steep steps.

Yes it is. We took a boat ride to three of the five towns on the coast and returned by train in the afternoon. Check out the vineyards that cling to the sides of the mountains! You can also walk between some of the towns but obviously, that would require more time.

If you have the opportunity to go, don't miss it!
