Is Civitavecchia Train Station wheelchair friendly?

My friends are going there and need to know if the station has access ramps etc for wheelchairs, or do you know where we could find out please. Many thanks

  1. No, unfortunately it is not.  The station is about 2 miles away from any actual ships, and it is over rough terrain.  There are no taxis, either.  You are much better off booking with a car service, which can take you right to the ship.  Try:  www.italytravelservices.com


  2. you'll be lucky... the department of health has a building in Rome for disabled people to see doctors and counsillers to help them with their claims for benifits and the meetings have to take place in the car park as there is no wheelchair access... incredible... unfortunatly italy is rather backward when it comes to disabled access and the like... you could check out the trenitalia website it may help..
