Is Cobra XRS R7 12 Band Radar good? ?

I just purchased this radar detector. I was wondering if is good?

It looks okay, but I am not a fan of Cobra products personally.  When it comes to radar detectors, I only look to Escort and Beltronics.  I also have the Beltronics RX65 and I believe it is a superb detector.

The Cobra XRS R7 is not a top-quality radar detector. It did not do well in last month's tests against X and K bands, which are still in use in a lot of locations. And forget police laser detection with the XRS R7. For the price of a new Cobra XRS R7, you could get something from Beltronics or Escort.

If you are concerned about police laser (LIDAR), your only alternative is a laser jammer. Most radar detectors will detect police laser, but by then it's already too late. 0.2 seconds under the laser and your speed is recorded. A laser jammer detects and jams the laser gun, allowing you time to adjust your speed if necessary. Like radar detectors, laser jammers are also legal in nearly every state. There are a number of laser/radar combo systems, like the Escort Passport 9500ci, which includes the new Escort ZR4 laser jammer.

Probably decent but i usually lean toward the Beltronics stuff.  it a little more but you get less false alarms in the city and they are little more sensitive so you get a little more distance between and the radar.  RX65 is really nice or the V995CS is really good too.  Both have new KU band that they started using in US couple years ago.
