Is Coke Zero basically Diet Coke?

hey I'm getting more confused by the minute with all these answers!

Coke Zero is no calorie Coke that has the same taste as real Coke.

DIet coke has a sort of "after taste" that lets you know it is Diet Coke.

Zero products are supposed to knock out the sodium you usually find in diet drinks.  However, coke zero still has it.  So really it's just a different tasting diet drink in the coke line.

It has basically the same ingredients as diet coke except for it is formulated to taste more like regular coke than diet coke.  Diet coke has it's own distinct flavor.

Not really.

Similarity: Both Diet Coke and Coke Zero are sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium. It's just that Coke Zero has more acesulfame potassium and Diet Coke has more aspartame.

Difference: The fact that Diet Coke has like 1 calorie and Coke Zero has zero. Coke Zero is also sweeter.

Coke Zero has Zero calories and Diet Coke has some calories just less than regular. And they definitely don't taste the same.
