Question:

Is Colgate Total Safe to Use? ?

I just want to make sure that if I use Colgate Total, there will be no side effects or any harm done to my teeth. In addition to Fluoride, it also has Triclosan (0.30%), which is supposed to be an Anti-gingivitis ingredient. I read that Triclosan can lead to Gum Cancer after prolonged use. I have only used Colgate Total once and I'm currently using my second tube (which is almost finished), so that's why I'm asking before I go ahead and purchase more.

Also, it is safe just to use regular Colgate, like the Cavity Protection ones? If I brush my teeth with the Regular Colgate, is that enough to fight gingivitis or would I have to use a toothpaste with the Triclosan? Thanks.

  1. Yes it is. Most toothpaste has Triclosan so i guess it is safe. As long as you use it correctly it should be find

  2. If there is a question in YOUR mind don't use it.

(Though I am SURE COLGATE has thought this through)

  3. Well, I've used it 3 times a day for about 2 or 3 years now and I still have a usable mouth.

    EVERYTHING nowadays causes cancer.
