Is Colonial White the same as Antique White?

I bought a crib and its Colonial white, and I need to buy the dresser for it. I cant buy it in the same store, because the are over price. I seen online that they have antique white and pure white. The colonial white its like little vanilla color, but still white. hELP pls

  1. probably not the same color.  antique white is about the color of a white egg shell.  colonial white sounds more like ice cream.

Whites have A LOT of variation and manufacturers like to call them different things for marketing reasons.  It is nearly impossible to judge a color from how it looks online because there is so much variation in monitor displays.  However, if the furniture pieces are not sitting right next to each other, you can have a little leeway.  You might want to consider choosing a completely different color.  I recommend this to my clients when I have a situation where we are trying to match something, but cannot get it exact.  I would recommend perhaps an espresso color.  Good luck!
