I am trying to figure out if I can take the train on Columbus Day 10/9/06. Does NJ Transit run on a holiday (sunday) schedule that day or is it a regular monday schedule?

It doesn't say on their site, so please don't direct me there.

  1. If their union contract says it is, it is. Unions would make just about any day a (paid) holiday if they thought they could get away with it...

  2. yes because it nationally reconized and the railroad is federal

  3. Columbus Day is a national holiday. On national hoildays rail

services like NJ Transit will run but on a Sunday schedule. Hope this helps.

  4. The NJ Transit website "DOES" say Columbus Day is a holiday. You should check out Train Schedules (Station to Station), which are provided for the current week only, for your travel on a specific date or trips.
