EDIT I just called Coppertone's 1-866-288-3330 consumer contact number.  Spectra 3 SPF 30 was discontinued in 2005 and any products still being sold are beyond the 3 year shelf life.

Spectra 3 SPF 50 was discontinued in 2006 and shelf life is considered borderline for this product.

The reason for discontinuing the product was due to low sales.  

Apparently it's still available via internet sources as I just googled it and came up with the following results:  see link
