Is Cozumel worth the trip?

We are going to Playa del Carmen in September and I was considering a day trip to Cozumel. But I was wondering if it was worth the money. I am not into the whole tourist trip thing. I don't scuba dive. Snorkle, yes. But what activities are there in Cozumel for the day trippers? What do you recommend for those who enjoy low key and pretty sights?

I loved it - did a day trip from a cruise boat. I twas so much fun - we almost missed the cuise ship. Definitely go to Carlos N Charlie's!!! Beautiful water, nice beaches!!!

no do not do it it is c**p and there r so many people it sucks and people throw up on the boat ride over nooooooooooooo dont do it

its nice to rent a car and go around the entire island. it doesn't take very long, the island is so small. but you can go see some of the secluded beaches, there is a resteraunt in a very secluded part of the island called coconuts thats totally fun, and you can find some really neat souveniers. snorkeling in cozumel is fantastic the water is crystal clear. i love cozumel because its much more chill than playa, its a different scene. its a place to rejuvinate.

If you love snorkeling or scuba diving it's fantastic. I believe Cozumel has the second or third largest coral reef in the world. The water is crystal clear, the weather is great, and many places to have fun. Safe trip!
